Stories and photos of my grand father- a make-up artist in the Bombay film industry from 1948.I lovingly called him papa ajoba- meaning father -grandfather, in Marathi.
Hi, I know I should have commented much before this, but laziness haunts me. :) I love the audio clippings. It is hard to believe that your grandfather is in his eighties as he so clearly recalls incidents with a casualness that immediately warms you as you listen to him and with a flair that keeps you hooked. It is a lovely tribute to not just him but to the technicians who worked so hard to make cinema come live for us. Great work. I wish you luck in all your future endeavours.
I wish I understood Hindi better, but I love the photos here and the stories you are writing down.Do you mind if I link to your blog here from my blog? I think my readers would really enjoy it too...I'd like to write a short post about your project.
Hi.. Keep up the good work.It will be great value for generations to come.
